How we got here

CloudZero started with a problem in cloud: engineers made decisions every day that moved the bill, and nobody could connect the two until weeks later. We spent a decade building the allocation engine that closes that gap, processing 14 trillion billing events a year across hundreds of companies.

AI made the same problem more significant and pervasive. Spend moves with what users ask for and what agents decide to do, the bill arrives without the context needed to attribute it, and the question has changed from what did it cost to what did it produce. That’s the question we’re built to answer.
